CLEANING CHECKLIST

As stated in Section 23 of your lease we “[reserve] the right to enter the property at reasonable times to inspect, repair, or show property to prospective tenants”. If we schedule a showing for prospective tenants to view the property before you move we will give you a 24-hour advance notice via phone call.

Please, make sure we have your current, working phone number.

Please be aware that we do send in professional cleaners after every move-out. This cleaning bill is removed from your deposit, as explained in your lease. The deeper you clean before move out the less the charge.

When something is clean it means there is no dust, hair, bugs, markings, crumbs, stuck-on food, etc on any given surface.

Please be aware of areas you may not normally clean, for example: windowsill tracks, drawer tracks, the cupboard under the sink, the front and edges of cabinets, etc….

• Clean front door inside and outside, and the doorframe

• Clean walls, both sides of all doors, doorframes, baseboards, light switch and outlet covers

• Clean all heating/cooling vents, ceiling fan blades, and fan vents

• Clean windows inside glass including the tracks and windowsills, dust blinds (LEAVE WINDOWS CLOSED AND LOCKED)

• Clean light fixtures inside and outside (MAKE SURE ALL BULBS ARE THERE AND WORKING)

• Clean refrigerator inside and outside including the seal around the door(s), pull out from the wall (DO NOT UNPLUG) and clean the floor underneath

• Clean stove/range inside and outside including the rack and drawer, pull out from the wall (DO NOT UNPLUG) and clean the floor underneath and down the sides ; be sure to lift the top of the stove and clean underneath and clean burner coils. Replace the drip pans

• Clean stove hood vent, if applicable

• Clean dishwasher inside and outside, including seal around door and food trap, if applicable

• Clean microwave inside and outside, if applicable

• Clean kitchen cabinets inside and outside

• Clean kitchen countertops and sink

• Clean toilet(s) inside and outside, including the base

• Clean bathtub(s)/shower(s) ; discard shower curtain, if applicable

• Clean bathroom cabinet(s) inside and outside

• Clean bathroom counter(s) and sink(s)

• Clean bathroom mirror(s)

• Clean washer and dryer inside and outside, including removing the dryer tube and clean out the interior dryer vent and pull out from the wall (DO NOT UNPLUG) and clean floor underneath, if applicable

• Vacuum and/or sweep all floors ; mop all tile/lvp/wood floors

• Clean garage including sweeping floor, if applicable

Please Remember…

• We will take care of carpet cleaning, but you need to vacuum the carpet. DO NOT SHAMPOO THE CARPET YOURSELF.

• You must remove ALL personal items from inside and outside the unit; this includes trash and debris (if any item remains YOU WILL BE CHARGED for removal or storage of said item).

• Please bring all keys to the office on or before final day. You can also leave the keys on the kitchen counter—lock the doors and give us a call.

• You must contact the utilities company and arrange your name to be removed from the property.

• We do not schedule a final walk-through with tenants upon move-out.

• Your deposit, minus any expenses, will be returned to you within 30 days as long as we have your forwarding address which we require on the Move Out Form! Should you need to update your forwarding address, please call at 208-535-0799.
